Corruption is within us

Ethics, honesty, loyalty all these abstract nouns can not be taught by others. These are what should be within us. But unfortunately very few of us have ethics, very few of us are honest & loyal. May be many of us would not accept the truth. Then answer the questions to yourself. If you would sit for an exam & there are no invigilators, would you not copy? If your answer is no, then why we need invigilators in the exam hall? How many of us do not use the pirated software? How many of us do not watch the pirated CD of movies? Honestly, I am also not an exception. We all are corrupted. That is the reason that our whole system is corrupted. When we are not honest then why do we expect that from others? After all, we choose our leader, ministers among ourselves. They are not anyone who is out of the world. Still we want them to be honest so what we are not. We are very happy that our economy is the second largest in the world. But do we ever notice the income inequality in our country? Why the naxalite activities increase now days? Do we ever try to know what they want? Do we ever try to find out the reason?i am not justifying their acts. But we can not deny that income inequality is one of the reasons. Mr. Mukesh ambani is flying in his private plane. He gave his wife awesome luxury jet($ 65000000) on her birthday. What about the 42% people of India? Their income is $ 1.25 per day. Congress made schemes, budget for the aam admi. Who is the aam admi then? What is the definition of aam admi? In business world how many of them are ethical? I am not talking anything about the tycoons. We know about them. What about the small merchandisers? They are also not doing business in an ethical way. What is merchandising? As per the bookish definition, “merchandising is doing the right thing, in a right time, at a right price, in a right quantity, for the right customers”. In our college canteen, we eat a sandwich, which is decently packed. We have to pay Rs.20/- for that. But that packaging does not have any manufacturing date or expiry date neither it has any price tag. Awesome, is not it? We are having the sandwiches and we are happy. Is this an ethical merchandising? I do not know that if anyone ever notice the manufacturing/expiry date of the bevarages what has served in airways. Last time when I wa stravelled in Indian airline, the manufacturing date of creamer was smerged in black ink. Was it the fault of Indian airways? I do not know. They might not even check that or do not bother to check that. But obviously it was the fault of the merchadiser. Who pushed his stock to avoid the losses. Is this an ethical merchandising? No books talk about the ethical merchandising. It is we who have to define. It should be within us. No law, no book can teach us this basic knowledge of being a human.
